STYLE NOTES:

The Asilah jacket is our transitional blazer for the new season. The androgynous slightly oversized cut adds an effortless tailoring element to any wardrobe, whilst it’s longer length and Loden virgin wool composition means it’s also perfect as outerwear for the less wintery months.

This jacket comes in sand for the more neutral wardrobe or pink for an accent statement. The addition of padded shoulders and a wide gold buckled belt emphasise the waist and create an exaggerated silhouette, thus elevating this versatile wardrobe staple to something altogether more unique.

How to care for your new AQVAROSSA piece

If you are not wearing your AQVAROSSA garment for a few months, it is best to keep it in a cool, dark and dry place. Ideally, the garment is dry-cleaned or washed by hand according to the instructions, before it is stored in a garment bag with moth repellent.

Knitwear is best laid flat to keep it in shape. Use the self-cleaning powers of our wool: simply hang up your pieces in the morning mist or in a steamy bathroom, and the natural fibres will clean themselves and make creases disappear.

Loden Wool

Loden wool is a centuries old fabric originally designed to keep inhabitants of the high alps warm and dry through freezing and wet winters. It has even been described as the original performance fabric. Our Loden is woven from extra fine Austrian merino wool for a luxurious take on its original form. It is made by a company that dates back to the 19th century with heritage and craftsmanship rooted in the production of this unique cloth. From selecting the finest wool fibres and every step involved in processing them into finished fabrics they carry out each and every stage themselves with unsurpassed attention to detail.

Maker

At the helm of production for our outerwear are mother and daughter duo Anna and Dessy. Anna’s wealth of experience going back many decades, first as a designer and later in production mean she is perfectly equipped to ensure each piece is crafted with the utmost attention to detail and care. She now uses this knowledge to champion and oversees a network of trusted small family-run factories across her homeland of Bulgaria. These long-held relationships mean she is able to specifically choose the appropriate makers for each piece depending on their individual areas of expertise resulting in the finest quality of craftsmanship and finish for every garment.

“OMG wow (my coat) is just so more  perfect than I imagined…..It will be my second skin this winter. The cut, the colour and the fabric are amazing”.
