The Norma, AQVAROSSA’S take on the trend for the sleeveless jacket, is a multifunctional layering piece. Worn open its heritage Prince of Wales check fabric and contrast lapel adds interest to relaxed tailoring looks such as a shirt and trousers. The piece’s double breasted cut and subtle nipped waist mean that it can also be worn buttoned up over subtle underpinnings such as a black rollneck for a smart wardrobe addition more akin in silhouette to a tailored dress.

How to care for your new AQVAROSSA piece

If you are not wearing your AQVAROSSA garment for a few months, it is best to keep it in a cool, dark and dry place. Ideally, the garment is dry-cleaned or washed by hand according to the instructions, before it is stored in a garment bag with moth repellent.

Knitwear is best laid flat to keep it in shape. Use the self-cleaning powers of our wool: simply hang up your pieces in the morning mist or in a steamy bathroom, and the natural fibres will clean themselves and make creases disappear.

Heritage Prince of Wales fabric

Our Prince of Wales cloth is made from a unique blend of alpaca and virgin wool by a historic Italian woolen mill. This family run business combines meticulous attention to detail in the fabrics they produce with an unparalleled quest to be at the forefront of ethical and sustainable practices in their field.

As virgin wool fibres haven’t been shredded or processed like many other wools they are also more resilient. This means less wrinkling, breakage and ultimately
garments that can last for decades.

Maker

For this collection we have worked closely with a highly skilled maker in the heart of West London. As a local studio with an experienced team including some of the best fabric cutters and in-house ateliers, they are perfectly positioned to ensure that a meticulous level of detail is met on every single piece. Their expertise working with luxury brands and bespoke one-off styles makes them the perfect partner for this unique collection and their proximity to our own London creative studio ties with our ongoing work towards sustainability and traceability.
